SINOTRUK is China’s first heavy-duty truck manufacturer. Founded in 1953, it produced the country’s first heavy-duty truck, the HUANGHE JN150, in 1960. In the 1980s the company brought Austria’s STEYR heavy-duty programme into series production, establishing the platform on which China’s modern heavy-duty truck industry was built.
Today’s engine and chassis platforms are anchored by a strategic partnership with Germany’s MAN Group, formed in 2009. Engines, cabs and axles are produced in-house, and the company’s R&D centre was among the first national-level corporate technology centres established in China.
The current range covers dump, tractor, mixer, tank, cargo and specialty trucks, together with trailers and light-duty models. Production runs at over 300,000 heavy-duty trucks a year.
SINOTRUK now operates as one of the largest heavy-duty truck manufacturers in the world, supplying operators, dealers, government fleets and contractors across more than 150 markets.
